I just finished my second one, and then hop on DA cuz thats what I do... and lo and behold, on the front page, at least two photos using pomegranates.

The coincidences I run into are pathetically amusing to me XD

So I'm starting to notice a lot of stolen art popping up on the "popular" browsing. I know that that kind of thing happens, but seriously, when I have to report multiple stolen images in the span of an hour? Something's obviously going wrong here.

Excuse the /b/term, but who let the newfags in?

This isn't your facebook, guys. This isn't flikr or photobucket or whatever. This is a website to submit YOUR OWN WORK. If you like a piece by another deviant, you favorite it and show it off that way. Saving the picture and then uploading it to your own profile to claim as your own piece of hard work is nowhere near acceptable.

So please, dear watchers who gave a damn to read this journal, if you see one of these stolen images showing up as popular while browsing, REPORT THAT BITCH. Because really. We don't need anymore cancer on good ol' DA.


In other news, I got my financial probation crap taken care of. Now I'm just trying to figure out where the hell I'm going to LIVE next semester. Oye. Both of my current roommates are moving off-campus, but I can't afford that, so I suppose my only option is to attempt the random roommate poll again.

Because really, it CAN'T be any worse than the first random roommate school assigned me. Way to go, SEMO. Way to go.

So for those who cared to notice, I updated many of the drawings that I have up. I FINALLY got access to a decent scanner (thank you, dorm computer lab) and they turned out SOOOOO much nicer than the crap-tastical pictures I took with my camera. Now they look sort of legit! So please, tell me what you think of them!

What SUCKS is that the drawings that weren't replaced with better versions were not replaced because I couldn't find them. They've disappeared. Quite a few of my favorite drawings have somehow managed to misplace themselves, either in my dorm room or in my room back home. Either way. I CAN'T FIND THEM.



In other news, just discovered that I'm apparently on financial probation for not paying a bill on time. I was unware of said bill's existence, as was my mother most likely, so thus the bill not being paid. The really fun news is that if it's not paid by March 30th, I'm on financial suspension, which would mean:

So yeah, that's my week so far. How's yours?

So I realize that I write a lot of stuff that has no context whatsoever.

That must confuse the fuck outta people.

I guess I can't really apologize for it, since I don't have much control over what my Muse (that bastard) deigns fit to throw at me, but good lord. I'm sorry peoples for the confusing "I have no idea what's going on in this vignette!"s. To those friends of mine on here, well, you guys are used to me doing that, but for anyone who doesn't actually read everything of mine, it must really suck to just jump right into a situation that you know nothing about.

If it helps, I usually don't know what's going on either.

That's the problem with my Muse. He throws snippets, little situations that are already at their climax or at least well into the story, at me, and I write them down and afterward go "wait wut?" I've learned to live with it, and to be honest, sometimes I like writing like that. It lets the readers come up with what maybe happened before to get the characters there. And sometimes, I just sort of like the realism of getting only glimpses of someone's life. Maybe that's from my anthropology perspective. I'm a people watcher, I can't help it. And watching people, you hardly ever get the full story. It's interesting. To me anyway...

So yeah. Sorry bout all the confuzzlement when I update with a vignette and you guys have no idea what's going on. I don't either.

But let's be honest here: it certainly keeps things interesting.
